'Augustus' is the first travertine sculpture I made! Without any studies on the shape at forehand, I sculpted the stone directly into shape by hand with hammer and stone chisels. The surface has a rough texture that supports the shape of te sculpture and the direction of the movements.

This sculpture is placed on a hardwood base (a "dukdalf") and is suitable for outdoor use.

Material: red travertine.
