Dutch Icecarving Championships 2008, 2nd Prize!
Maartje van Agt and me participated for the second time in the Dutch Icecarving Championships (Arnhem) in 2008.
A free theme... We decided to make an icesculpture about global warming: an issue, connecting strongly with ice! During 7 hours we made as many penguins as possible. At first sight the finished piece looks like a funny big pile of penguins, but if you look closely you’ll see the penguins crying for help! While their habitat melts away, they make the SOS-sign to the public...
We won the second prize in the competition! www.warmwinterweekend.nl
